Today, the heartbeat of Nigeria echoes in Daura, Katsina State, as dignitaries, political leaders, and everyday citizens alike gather to pay their final respects to one of Nigeria’s most iconic leader — former President Muhammadu Buhari.

From far and wide, prominent figures — past and present — have begun arriving to stand in solidarity with the people of Daura, and by extension, the nation. The atmosphere is heavy with emotion but rich in patriotism, as Nigerians, regardless of political leaning, unite to honour a man whose name is etched into our national story.

Security is tight, as expected, with the Nigerian Army, Police, and DSS on ground to ensure safety and order. Strategic routes have been cordoned off to manage the swelling crowds — a clear sign of how deeply this moment resonates with the people.

Already in town are former Vice Presidents Yemi Osinbajo and Atiku Abubakar; former Senate President Ahmad Lawan; and respected leaders like Rotimi Amaechi, Aminu Tambuwal, Yahaya Bello, Kayode Fayemi, Ibikunle Amosun, Ali Modu Sheriff, and Aminu Bello Masari, among others.
