The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has weighed in on ongoing speculations regarding a potential alliance with key political figures ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The party addressed rumours about endorsing a joint candidate from among Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi.

Speaking in Abuja on Saturday, Bolaji Abdullahi said in a statement issued by the party’s national leadership, the ADC clarified that while consultations are ongoing with like-minded parties and influential political leaders, no official decision has been made on endorsing any specific candidate.

"We are in talks with several stakeholders on the future of Nigeria. Our priority is not personalities, but principles that will move the country forward," the statement read.

The ADC emphasised that its focus remains on unity, credible leadership, and national development, stating that it would only back a candidate who aligns with the party’s values and agenda for change.
