s forward and Galatasaray striker, Victor Osimhen, has been shortlisted for the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award following another outstanding season on the continent.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled a 10-man shortlist for the 2025 edition of the CAF Awards on Wednesday. The prestigious ceremony is scheduled to take place in Marrakech, Morocco, for the third consecutive year.

Osimhen, who clinched the 2023 CAF Player of the Year title, will face strong competition from familiar names, including Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah of Egypt and Paris Saint-Germain’s Achraf Hakimi of Morocco.

The Nigerian striker enjoyed another remarkable campaign in Europe, leading Galatasaray to the Turkish Super Lig title with 26 league goals. His stellar form also earned him a record €75 million transfer from Napoli to the Turkish champions—making him one of Africa’s most valuable footballers.
