It was a display of class, affluence elegance at the all white 50th birthday party of Chief Peter Ehi Ohons at the Intercontinental Hotel Victoria Islands on Sunday May 5.

Born on the 5th of May 1974, in Uromi, Edo State, Chief Peter Ehi is the Chairman Rainbow Oil &Energy Nigeria Limited, Halio Global Resources International Ltd.

A detribalised Nigerian whose philanthropy activities speak volumes.

The very classy evening had family members, close friends and acquaintance of the celebrant as well as the cream de la cream of the oil sector, Captain of industries, men and women of calibre.

Describing the celebrant, Chief Emmanuel Rezi, the Executive Assistant to the governor of Delta state on beautification said: “I have known Peter Ehi for about fifteen years, he is a man of honour and he is a family oriented person. I has love for the poor and needy. I believe that when you clock 50, it is another phase of life. I wish God will grant him his heart desires God will protect him and his family abd I pray that this chapter of his life, will open new doors for him. And above all from this age he will begin to leave some legacies because nobody will live forever.”

Similarly, Ambassador Mark Obi, Chairman First Rhema Solutions described the celebrant as his brother.

According to Ambassador Mark Obi, “Ehi is my Elder brother, we went from being friends we transcended into becoming brothers.”

“I thank God for his life, he has been an amazing elder brother, very supportive, he has helped us through thick and thin. One word that perfectly describes Peter is that there is no ambiguity with him. He is an easy going fellow that makes your life easy. He has made our lives easy. He gives life a meaning. No matter how down you are ye finds a way of lifting you up. There is so much to say about Peter.”

“At 50 I wish more of God for him, because he has every other thing in life,” Mark Obi added.

Also another special guess, Ambassador Chuks Ken Kosi, Head of Operations of Delta petroleum said : “the calibre of people here to celebrate Ehi Peter is proof that he has lived a very impactful life. God who has sent him to this world to help liberate, those who are suffering and to give hope to those who have lost hope, the same God has protected him till day. And now looking at his contribution to the society, I are wishing him long life, good health and strength to continue his good work because the people who need him here on earth are many especially the Nigeria people who needs such a man to push forward.

He is a wonderful man and God should protect him

Speaking on his Golden Jubilee celebration Chief Ehi Peter said that I feel great, I feel exceptionally happy. I am happy seeing people showing me love. I am grateful to God for the gift of life and good health. I wish for more good health and a healthier family.”

“I am inspired to live a life of positive impact, because I see life differently from others. Also because I have been there, I wasn’t born rich.

I had very bad experience with how people treated me so I chose to threat people right.

“I love seeing people happy too. I always want to see people around me happy too. I love to tell people the truth. I speak fact to reality, I don’t take it. When people around you are down, don’t leave them down, do your little contribution to help. A word of advice will go a long way to change a situation.”

The highlight of the event was the birthday celebration was the presentation of Icon of National Development award to Peter Ehi by members of Collective Action Movement For Democratic Values & Environmental Issues (CAMDEV) Northern Nigeria Students Association and Arewa Youth Advocacy for good governance
