With his nine goals in Serie A for 2023–24, the former Everton striker is having another successful season with Le Dea after clinching their victory over the Azzurri on minute 51.

With a game remaining, Gian Piero Gasperini’s team now sits sixth in the rankings, two points behind Roma, but with a superior goal differential.

With five Italian teams guaranteed seats in Europe’s top club league starting with the 2024–2025 season, the Lombardy team has a chance to surpass the Giallorossi for a last berth.

Lookman emphasized the significance of their most recent victory and thinks Atalanta is ready to close off the season with a bang, leading them to both the Copa Italia final and the Europa League semifinals.

“This victory is very important because we have to reach the Champions League. We also have commitments in the Italian Cup and the Europa League, winning today was important,” the 26-year-old striker was quoted as saying by Napoli Magazine.
