The political atmosphere took a dramatic turn this past week as Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, launched a scathing attack on veteran journalist and former presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, during a live Channels Television interview, sparking a sharp and fiery response that has set social media abuzz.

The verbal clash underscores ongoing tensions within the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Wike, who has faced criticism for his close working relationship with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) despite being a PDP member, has grown increasingly combative with long-time allies turned critics.
